Lovely placed. My wife and i went on vacation in Chetumal, Mexico and we stayed at this welcoming location. We were greeted with a smiled and welcomed with open arms. The rooms are clean and we felt very safe. They will definitely see us again.
The room was clean and staff very friendly. They both speak English and Spanish which was helpful.
Higher than average prices. The room has just about everything except a mini fridge. There was a hair dryer, closet, cable (very poor quality), luggage rack, door peep and security lock. Door opens up to the bedroom like most hotels in Chetumal. Before dawn, a group of kids was hanging out in front of my room (there is always a window in these hotel rooms nowadays). Woke me up with their constant need to tell jokes. I chased them away but they went down to the lobby to continue on like magpies. The watchman was nice to let me into the gym after 8 p.m. I wish he confronted the children next to my room so early in the morning. I didn't get to use the pool (in the lobby?), but it looked well kept and fit, but sort of small.
The rooms are great and the ac is just the right temperature. The queen bed rooms and higher have the best beds. The twins and full beds are kind of hard. Great and safe place to stay.

We got this hotel recommend for the breakfast by our transfer driver. We had a great breakfast for a very good price. Staff was kind and helped us ordering (the menu is only in Spanish). Can't tell how the rooms are.
Hotel Marlon is a good hotel. Its located near one of the main shopping areas of Chetumal and is also near the park by the sea. Banks are also close by. The rooms are clean, and affordable. I stayed in a junior suite and it's nice. With a king size bed, carpet flooring, flat screen TV and sitting area. Only thing it needed was a mini refrigerator.
